opportunitiesplural of op·por·tu·ni·ty (Noun)

  1. A set of circumstances that makes it possible to do something.
  2. A chance for employment or promotion.
I truly believe that by making yourself available, it creates opportunities.  I have been experiencing this lately with several opportunities knocking on my door.  I mentioned to Marnie at Traditions that I would be willing to help out at the Cathedral Village Arts Festival.  Well this comment opened the door to Marnie offering me a table to display my work and create some felted bracelets for customers.  It was a great experience to meet people and show them my work.

As I opened myself up to the various customers, Margaret the Festival organizer approached me to discuss my art and experience.  Well this opened up another door, and next thing I know Global TV is setting up a camera, attaching a mic to me and doing a small interview on my experience at the Festival.  This certainly gave me some exposure, and has several customers purchasing my work.  Click the link to see the interview (might take a few minutes to download)
Another opportunity that has been presented is to work with various artists on a collaboration project.  This is still in the planning stages, but I look forward to meeting new artists and learning about their craft.
So I challenge you to open your mind and let it be open to Opportunities that might be presented.
