Well it’s been a few weeks since I have last posted. Work has gotten really busy as well our sports schedule has gotten a little fuller. My youngest son Jayden has taken up squash and inspired me to also learn the game. Jayden has taken a real shine to this game and so has added an extra practice session each week. Him and I have also joined the league, which means we play once a week. Add this onto my racquetball and soccer schedules, and my weeks are pretty full. I have also been volunteering for a few racquetball tournaments.

That being said, I have been able to make some scarflets lately. These are fun to make and don’t take up huge amounts of time. They are keeping me in the studio enough that I don’t totally lose my mind. They are made of merino, and silk. One has locks added and two have a nice little gem! More to come…..

A bit of a deviation….

I love to doodle!! My notebook at work is usually full of doodles along with notes from my meetings. I stumbled across this free online workshop with Traci Bautisa. She is an amazing mixed media artists. Well at least I think she is!! There are four weeks of lessons. At the beginning of the week she uploads a video about the technique, and then you spend the rest of the week playing!!! Here are two of my doodles from Lesson 1.

Welcome 2012!

Welcome to my new website. I have been updating websites for others, in the meantime negleting mine. So I thought I would welcome in the new year with a new website!!! Thanks to Kim at ArtBiz for helping move the site over to WordPress. I am finding that I have been doing a lot of experimental work, or items for Traditions and Handwave that just don’t fit into the exhibition galleries on the site. By having a blog on my site, I thought this would be a great way to share some of these items.
